Carol Jean Mandeles Drain

Carol was born April 9, 1932 and passed away August 15, 2015. Born in Magna, Utah to James G. and Laura N. Mandeles. Carol was married to the love of her life, Lenvel E. Drain on December 4, 1950, later to be solemnized through the Salt Lake Temple. They had three beautiful daughters Leanna (Gary) Hunsaker, Debbie (Dee) Hepworth and JoAnn (Randy) Rowe. Carol loved her family and created "card night"; a time where her loved ones could get together and not only play games together, but converse and keep connected with each other. Carol was an avid reader. She not only read countless books, but had her own personal library that her family borrowed books from. Carol loved unconditionally, and cherished the moments she had with those near her. Especially those involving the numerous trips she took with her husband and loved ones. Carol was not only a loving woman, but a hard worker and served for many years as an inventory control clerk. Survived by husband, Lenvel Drain; daughters Debbie Hepworth and JoAnn Rowe (and their spouses), 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Leanna Hunsaker; parents; brother Russell; sister Phyllis. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 20, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church, 3970 West Dimrall Drive (5615 S.). Viewings will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2015, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, and Thursday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
