Charlene Maxine McKean Maxine McKean

Charlene left her loving family on July 2, 2016, to be with her Father in Heaven. She was born June 6, 1941, to Maxine and Charlie Halvorsen. She married her best friend, Doug McKean, on March 3, 1962. Together they had three children and spent 54 beautiful years together. Charlene loved spending time with her family. She loved crafting, cake decorating, quilting, and talking to all of us on the phone. She is survived by her husband; son, Vance (Nancy); daughters, Juliene (Gus & True), and Verliene (Troy); grandchildren, Sean (Meag), Dannie (Ben), Paige (Zac), Cody, Austin (Dani), and Tanner; great-grandchildren, Jack, Lucy, Berklee, Pacyn, Corbin, Ellie, and one more due in August; brother, Jim (Becky); sisters, Dawn, and Jan (Tom); sister-in-law, Sue; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kent; brother-in-law, Dick; Nephew, J.D.; and great-grandson, Lucas. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, in Taylorsville, where viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 7, and again Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
