On April 25, 2015, our beloved husband and father, Charles Edward "Ted" Hulse, returned to the ranks of valiant spiritual warriors of our Savior. He left behind his sweetheart of 66 years to watch over his loving posterity. Ted arrived on this earth January 5, 1931, to the family of Pearl Batt and William Jennings Bryant Hulse. He married the love of his life, Sherry Schaffer, on January 21, 1951, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple June 29, 1951. Ted was a strong, loving and talented man. He taught his children and grandchildren to love life and serve others. He worked hard to provide for them and used his talents in woodwork to lavish them with treasures. His natural music ability allowed him to play many musical instruments and led him to form a band, the Gadianton Band. Ted was also a gifted athlete who lived for football season. Ted was a natural teacher and a rock to turn to in times of trial. He gave loving service to others, including through his church callings which included serving in bishoprics, on high councils, as a teacher in many capacities and as a youth leader who was loved by all. He and his wife served as companions on a CES mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as ordinance workers in the Bountiful Temple. While we will miss him, we know that he has gone on to prepare a way for us. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Wilma McClellan, Raymer Hulse and Beth Pearce. He is survived by his sweetheart, Sherry Shaffer; children, Chuck (Shawna) Hulse, Steve (Wendy) Hulse, Becky (Steve) Johnson, Debi (Rob) Martin, Jay Hulse, and W. Brian (Kristen) Hulse; 25 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services to remember Ted were held Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the Bountiful Tabernacle. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. Nickname:"Ted"Place of Birth:Logan, UtahPlace of Death:Bountiful, Utah
