On March 13, 2015 the world lost a unique soul. Charles Frederick McCusker was born February 15, 1952 in Derby, CT to Frederick Littlejohn McCusker and Marianne Elizabeth Schilkowski. He was the apple of his dad's eye and for good reason. Charlie was a very intelligent boy. Instead of playing Cowboys and Indians like other kids, he was busy playing with miniature rockets and figuring out how they worked. He liked a scholastic challenge and Charlie was always at the top of his class. He graduated from Ansonia High School in Ansonia, CT, then went on to complete his formal education at The University of Utah, where he got a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Charlie was known to always have a joke to tell. Sometimes they could be a bit off color, but they were always funny. He was fondly called Uncle Chuckles. You never knew when he was going to stop over for a quick visit that lasted to the wee hours of the morning. Charlie leaves behind his son, C. Scot McCusker; sister, Marilyn Myrt' Whimpey Farr; many nephews and nieces; and a great number of friends. He was and is loved by many. A celebration of Charlie's life will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015, 2 4:00 p.m. at 1059 East 4500 South, SLC, UT 84107. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Heart Association.
