Christianna Marie Phillips

Chris died of heart complications on 1/8/2019. Chris was a very loving person to other people and animals as well. The loves of her life were her daughter, son-in-law, grandchild, mom and dad and her brothers and sisters, as well as their children. She also loved her cats, taking in stray cats when they did not have a home and donating often to organizations that were trying to save animals of all types.

Although she had a limited income, at Christmas each year she would give presents to every member of the family. She worked at Xerox and Walmart and during her entire career, she continually displayed a great work ethic at both companies. One of her favorite hobbies was going to mountain man rendezvous where she especially loved the campfire at night. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her mother Lela Phillips who died of cancer; and her niece Rebekah Gallegos who died of a defective heart. Her surviving family members are, her Dad Barry Phillips (Jackie); her daughter Jaylynn Hegland (Ian); her grandchild Bastian Hegland; and her 7 brothers and sisters: LeeAnn Gallegos (Lance), William Phillips (Chellie), James Phillips (Michele), Suzanne Jones (McKay), Cheri White (JR), JoAnne Phillips and Diana Chapman (Nick), and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 14, 2019, 12:00 noon, at Taylorsville 10th Ward, 4950 South 1950 West, Taylorsville, Utah. Viewings will be held Sunday, January 13th, 5-7:00 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and again Monday at the church from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard.
