Christine Aumick Trujillo 1947-2012 Christine Aumick Trujillo, 64, passed away on December 9th, 2012 after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. She was so brave and positive, and never complained. She was always a joy to be around and every second with her was such a gift. Chris was born on December 16th, 1947 in Pocatello, Idaho, the baby of a family of three born to Alvin John and Rose Christine Grant Aumick. After graduating from Pocatello High School, she moved to SLC, UT where she married Sean Riley and had three children, Michelin, Timothy and Joseph. Sean and Chris were later divorced. Chris was a dispatcher with the Salt Lake County Sheriff s office (UPD) for almost 30 years. The last few years of her career she dispatched for animal control. She enjoyed this work and was very fond of the officers and helping animals. Chris married Thom Trujillo in July 20, 1990. He was the love of her life and they were so happy together. She remained alone after his death waiting to be reunited with him. There are no words to describe the beauty of Christine. She was an amazing woman whose family meant everything to her. She had a bit of a wild streak at times and loved to have fun. She was very adventurous and loved to travel. She was quiet and gentle but she could hold her own with anyone. She was very dedicated to everything she did, her job, friends and family. She loved to bake and to garden. She was very patriotic and always supported veterans. She was an animal lover and had such a giving heart. Her little Chihuahua Peaches was a great comfort to her while she was fighting cancer. Chris loved to be a mom and her kids were her world. She always made herself available for her children and would do anything in the world for them. She has a beautiful soul, a huge heart and kind, gentle spirit. What an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She gave her children pure love as well as her open-minded, freethinking nature. She was also a wonderful grandmother and loved her grandchildren so much. We all adored her and will miss her forever. Chris is survived by: daughter, Michelin Riley (Troy Prows); sons, Timothy Riley, Joseph (Dotty) Riley; sister, Rosemary (Larry) Dalton; grandchildren, Austin, Madison and Brysen Riley, and great-granddaughter, EmberMaye Riley. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas A. Trujillo; parents; John and Rose Aumick; brother, Alvin Aumick; and nephew, Rey Dalton. The family would like to offer special thanks to Frank and Linda Larsen, Jean Sundell, Dr. Kate Wilson and many friends and coworkers. Thank you to everyone who helped with kindness in many forms, to help Chris and her family get through the rough times and enjoy the good times together preceding her death. There will be a private family graveside service.
