Christine Zetterquist Jensen was welcomed home by her mother and father in the early hours of Monday, October 2, 2017. Christine was born August 20, 1944 to immigrant parents, John Adolph Zetterquist of Sweden and Dagmar Petterson Zetterquist of Norway. Although her father died when she was just 10 years old, her mother kept the family close and nurtured many lasting memories for Christine and her siblings. Christine married Clyde Jensen in the spring of 1961 and together they started a family. She experienced many struggles during this period and although the marriage didn't last, many fond memories were made. Her siblings Jeanette and Michael and children Ken and Lisa were always there to look after her throughout her life. She was also cared for by the devoted staff at many mental health facilities and in the last 15 years, Avalon Valley Rehabilitation, where she developed a close family of fellow patients and staff. No matter what life threw at Christine, she always managed to find her way through. Christine'slaugh and smile sustained her for many years. She had a great sense of humor and a wit abouther; she didn't miss much. Survived by brother Michael (Faun) Zetterquist; children Ann Wright, Ken (MeLauni) Jensen, Jennifer Jensen and Bonnie (William) Rigby; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter Lisa Foster; parents John Zetterquist and Dagmar Zetterquist; siblings Doris Janson, Harold Zetterquist, Norma Bjorkman and Jeanette Casazza. The family wishes to thank everyone who worked with Christine over the years for showing her dignity, kindness, and compassion.
