Clarice's "Turn on Earth" ended along with her journal, which she faithfully kept until 24 July 2018. Now the last chapter has been written. Clarice gave serious attention to her family histories and didn't want to go into eternity without leaving her story for her posterity. She was born the 26 March 1927 at her Grandfather Knudt Sander's homestead in Travers, Alberta, Canada. Her parents were Horton George Layton and Selma Josephine Sanders. Clarice loved her work as an elementary school teacher at Trail B.C. Canada, but left to come to Utah to marry William Grant Woolley on the 13 July 1949 in the Logan Temple. After the service, Elder Christiansen took them by the hand and said, "He was impressed to tell us that we would have a good marriage". The road of life has had its joys and sorrows, but their marriage has been incredible. They have six children, Carol Anne Martin (Glenn), Kathie Darlene Caldwell (Raymond), deceased, Richard "Ric" Woolley (Doris), Desmond Grant (died when he was only 17 years old, Dan Marshall Woolley (Undrea), and Renee Webb (Bruce). She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. Clarice was a loving mother who taught her children the Gospel that "this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent: (John 17:3).
