Claude Segura 1928~ 2013 Claude Segura was called back to the Lord from the beautiful life he lived on November 21, 2013. He was born December 17, 1928. Claude had unconditional love for everyone whose life he touched. He leaves behind many that will miss him dearly. Nothing was more essential to him than his family. He cherished the company of his wife of 59 years, children and grandchildren. He served his country during the Korean conflict as a Sergeant E5 & Squad leader from 1950 to 1952 and continued serving back home until 1956, where he received various medals including a purple heart. Claude was an educator for forty years as an Elementary and Middle school teacher and as an Elementary school Principal in Colorado, Nevada & Utah. Claude received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Elementary Education from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado. Claude enjoyed fishing, reading, live sports, bingo and mostly spending all his spare time with family. Claude was a person that had high ethics and respect for all. He had a quiet but kind personality. He believed in serving others as was evident thru serving in the military, teaching and helping those that were in need thru his faith. He was a Grand Knight in Knights of Columbus in Nevada and Tooele. Claude is preceded in death by his daughter Dolores (Lolita) and son Arnold. He is survived by his wife Virginia; sons: Ronnie (Debra) and Bobby; 5 grandchildren: Ryan, Aleta, Jessica Rebecca (Aramis) Lambourne and Madison. We would like to express our many thanks for the care Claude received at the Huntsman Cancer Center. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 25, 2013, 12:00 noon at St. Martin De Porres, 4914 South 2200 West. A viewing will be held Sunday, 6-8:00 p.m. and Monday 11-11:45 a.m. also at St. Martin De Porres. Interment, Tuesday 2:00 p.m. at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
