   Clemente Chavez Arevalo

Clemente Chavez Arevalo

May 8, 1934 - February 18, 2024

Our beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and hardworking man left us heartbroken. Among his virtues he was a loving husband to his wife, Amparo Chavez Robles, whom he married in February of 1958 and together they raised 10 children. They later renewed their vows together when celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 2008. Clemente was born to his caring parents: Antonio Chavez and Salud Arevalo in San Angel, Michoacan and grew up with his six siblings on the ranch. Clemente helped his father herd cattle and farm on their properties while being a great example to his siblings. In 1951, he came to the U.S and worked hard in the hot fields of California. In 1998 he moved his children and wife to Utah to start a new and better way of life. Besides helping raise the children and grandchildren; he enjoyed farming, going for walks, drinking coffee, telling his wonderful life stories, and spending time with his family. Around June of 2021 his age began to catch up to him and his health deteriorated. He required multiple treatments that led to a multitude of negative effects. He fought endlessly against his illness with fortitude and courage. We lost a soul, but heaven gained an angel. God eased his pain, but certainly broke our hearts. Rest in paradise, Clemente. He is survived by his 10 children: Manuel, Hilda, Daniel, Alfredo, Armando, Jose Jesus, Juan Carlos, Angelica, Antonio, and Alma Delia, 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Clemente is preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Salud, his sisters Hilda and Eva, 5 children who didn't make it out of Infancy Alfredo, Maria de Jesus, Maria de Rosario, Clemente, Candido and his grandson Luis Fernando Alonzo.
