Cleo Anderson Powell (90) of Kearns, Utah passed away January 28, 2023,in West Jordan, Utah. She was born February 22, 1932, in Mohrland, Utah, to John Leslie Anderson and Ruth Ada Gardner. She married Orson Eugene Powell January 5, 1953, in the Manti Utah Temple.
She had a love for nature and camping with her family, along with designing blankets, playing volleyball at reunions and board and card games. She always had a book of Word Search and Sudoku by her side. Grandkids remember being served ice cream every-time they would visit.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings in all the organizations; Primary, Young Women's and Relief Society.
She served a full-time mission with her husband in the San Jose CA. mission.
She worked 22 years at the Beehive Clothing Mills and the Print Center for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also worked as a Temple worker in the Jordan River Temple. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and strived to be like Him through her unconditional love and many acts of service.
Survived by her husband, Eugene; six children, Larry (Christine) Powell, Gayle (Jack) Nell, Trent (Cindee) Powell, Kevin (Keelee) Powell, Cheryl (Blaine) Sorensen, Michael Powell & Shirley Wilkey; brother-in-law, Richard Hight; 26 grandchildren and 62 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents; 2 brothers & 4 sisters.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023, 10:00 a.m at the Kearns 14th Ward, 4232 West 5015 South, Kearns, Utah. An evening viewing service will be held Friday, February 3, 2023, 6-8:00 p.m. at the church and again Saturday, February 4, 9-9:45 a.m. prior to the funeral services.
