Cleone Jones Folkman

As a family we are pleased to announce her passing from this life to the next stage on 2 February 2022 at her home in Taylorsville surrounded by both her sons, daughter, daughter-in-law Jean, and granddaughter Tina.

She was loved by her family and friends. Cleone was born to Thomas Rose and Sarah Ida Jones 8 December 1923, at the time of her death she was a strong and determined 98 years old. She was born and raised in Kanesville Utah with three brothers Ralph, Douglas, and Edwin and five sisters Evelyn, Glenna, Theo, LaVern and Rae. Cleone was the seventh child in the family. She attended school in Hooper and graduated from Weber High School in 1942. She also earned an associate degree.

She married Angus Folkman 28 June 1946 at her home in Kanesville Utah. They met at the Defense Depot while working there. Gus passed away 28 Jan 1997. She had four sons and one daughter, John Fowers deceased, Tom (Jean), Chris (Jane), Debbie (Casey), and Tim deceased. Gus and Cleone and their family were sealed in the Logan Temple 28 June 1960.

Cleone moved to Ogden when she married Gus and then to Nephi, Boise, Nampa settling in Taylorsville in December 1960 where she lived for 62 years. During her life in Taylorsville she raised her family and then worked for Dr Maurice Baker at the Taylorsville Clinic. She held many positions in her ward and stake and saw the growth that came to the Salt Lake Valley and Taylorsville. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She leaves a family of 69 and her sister Rae. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah, where a viewing will precede services from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
