Clyde Louis Holder

Clyde Louis Holder was born June 5, 1940 in Murray, Utah to Louis Carlisle and Marjorie Marsden Holder. He married Ethel Wheadon in the Logan Temple. Clyde was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings, but his favorite was as Scout Master. He was proud to have 7 of his scouts earn the Eagle Scout award. He also was a faithful home teacher and made sure he had 100% each month. Clyde worked & retired from Salt Lake County Public Works after 35 years of service. He also worked for Walmart and Harmons.He enjoyed fishing, camping, going on road trips, and spending time with his family and dog Butter cup. He is survived by three children: Louis (Janine), Kenneth (Gilda) & Cynthia; three sisters; 2 brothers; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; wife Ethel;a brother; and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at the Bridgeside Ward, 955 W. 4800 S. Viewings will be held Monday, September 26, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and 10-10:45 a.m., and again Tuesday at the church prior to the funeral services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
