Connie Quarnberg Forbush

Connie passed away at home in Taylorsville, Utah on Monday, October 2, 2017 having struggled with multiple health conditions. She was born to Claude and Hilda Quarnberg on February 23, 1938. She was born and grew up in Scipio, Utah. She got her diploma from Millard High School in Fillmore, Utah. After high school, Connie went on to study cosmetology. She married Mack Neil Forbush on March 23, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple; sealed for Time and all Eternity. The two shared 54 years of marriage and parented 4 children: Barbara, Rodney, Pauline and Ruth. She was a proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Ups and downs, without a doubt; love ALWAYS! She was a proud member of the International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers, helped with family genealogy and could tell detailed stories of her childhood and of what went on "back in the day" Connie certainly knew her way around the kitchen. She made amazing Funeral Potatoes, sinful Thanksgiving stuffing, Hawaiian meatballs, crazy good sweet and sour sauce, a variety of casseroles, salsa/watermelon jell-O salad (no, really), and the BOMB pumpkin chocolate chip cookie! The holidays were great because we always had a plethora of baked goods from which to choose. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude & Hilda; husband, Mack Neil Forbush; daughter Ruth (Nyuol) Tang. Connie leaves behind many friends; children, Barbara, Rodney and Pauline; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services in honor of Connie will be held Friday, October 6, 2017, 11:00 a.m. and Taylorsville 10th Ward, 4950 S. 1950 W. Viewings will be held Thursday, Oct. 5th, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal's Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and again at the church prior to service from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
