Dale Clyde Smith

"My Sweetie & Hot Rod Papa" Dale Clyde Smith, 63, passed away July 6, 2015. Dale was born to David Woodrow and Emma Fae Sessions Smith on May 13, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married his forever love, Nancy Louise Souza, April 12, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple. Dale was an avid car collector. We will miss your sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy; children Stephanie (Erik Mena) Emery, Stacy (Ryan) Robinson, Shelly (Jake) Gaston; grandchildren Brylee, Dreden and Ryder; brother Dave (Elaine); sisters Sharon (Pat) and Margaret (Layne); and 9 Classic Cars he considered his sons. Preceded in death by his parents; and son-in-law Brad Emery. Dale's life revolved around his family. He shared close relationships with his family and treasured time with his grandchildren. Dale was also a passionate car enthusiast and frequently enjoyed attending care shows. Dale's warm and comforting smile made any acquaintance become a close friend. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church, 1945 West 9000 South. Viewings will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 south Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Herriman City Cemetery. Dale, we know that you are crusin' in heaven, top down, with your Diet Pepsi, watching over us; just like you always have and always will. We love you!
