Dallas Leo Richins, 82, passed away surrounded by loved ones at his home in St. George, Utah on October 8, 2015. Dallas was born on November 26, 1932 in Arcadia, Utah to Thurlo and Leah Richins. Dallas served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, he married Sharlene Millgate (later divorced) and had four children. Dallas worked for the Salt Lake City Water Department, retiring after 30 years of service. There he met and married his wife Kathy Thurman. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Dallas loved to tinker and make fun things such as lamps, clocks, and jewelry to give to his loved ones. Dallas leaves behind his wife and four children, Ralph (Jeanne) Richins, Robyn (Gary) Curtis, Laura (Rex) Dipo, and Dallene (Cork) Mower. Also 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 3 great, great-grandchildren, many close cousins, and nieces and nephews who knew him as Uncle D. Dallas is preceded in death by his parents, older brother, Alma, and his grandson, Logan. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015, 11:00 am, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road,Taylorsville, Utah. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Centerville Cemetery.
