Daniel Allen Nelson, age 30, passed away March 14, 2014. He was born March 7, 1984, in Long Beach, Calif., to Leslie Blake and Edward Allen Nelson. Dan grew up in Taylorsville, Utah and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 2002. To say that Dan loved the outdoors would be a huge understatement. From surfing and spending time on the beach in Fiji, to painting and starting his own landscaping business, Dan was almost always outside. He loved to work with different plants and flowers, and had a knack for helping things thrive. He was also a talented artist, and always enjoyed creating unique works of art for his family and friends. Besides the outdoors, the greatest love of Dan's life was his daughter, Victoria. She was the center of his attention and Dan did everything he could to be a good father. He loved her with all his heart. Throughout his life Dan avoided being in the spotlight, but had a tremendous impact on everyone around him. He will always be remembered for his willingness to work hard and the integrity he showed in his daily work. Dan is survived by his daughter, Victoria; parents, Ed and Leslie; sisters, Amanda (Wes) Horrocks and Jessica (Josh) Shipp; and brothers, Bryce (Katy) and Stuart.
