He married Eileen McKinnon on August 10, 1989, in Elko, Nevada, and gained three children, Shauna Bona (Robert Sobocinski), William "Alex" Simpson, and Angela Simpson Drumright (Charles). He worked for more than 30 years in the automotive industry as salesman, used car manager, and finance manager, and later for himself, as a wholesale dealer.
