Dannie Edwin Axford

Dannie Edwin Axford Papa born May 14, 1940 in Milton Freewater, Oregon has joined his wife Ann in heaven, passing away peacefully at home December 20,2017. Dannie served in the U.S Navy and later married Roelina Ann Axford on May 5, 1978. He lived a full life and loved the experience of the open road traveling to many places driving semi for a living. He enjoyed the outdoors and going fishing in his early years. Dannie was a wonderful, loving and patient husband, dad, papa and friend. Survived by his children: Sherrie Slater, Spring Hirtzel (Michael), Tammy Churchill, Larry Nichols, and Gary Nichols; grandchildren: Sheila, Shelby, Joseph, Michael, Emily and Paige; great-grandchild, Taylor. Preceded in death by his wife Ann; daughter Jeannie; brother Dennis; sisters Willma & Wanda; and parents Lesley & Cloe. A heartfelt thank you to his neighbor Ivonne (Walt) who was his angel on earth always keeping an eye on him, providing great company and care. To the CNS Home Healthcare team, Wendy & Rosa for taking good care of him during these past several months. Graveside service will be held later in the Spring of 2018 at Valley View Memorial Park.
