Darrel Paskett 1935 ~ 2013 Darrel Paskett, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away surrounded by his family on January 14, 2013, after a prolonged battle with cancer. He was born on June 21, 1935, at home in Malta, Idaho. He has been married to his sweetheart, Marilyn Warner Paskett, for more than 57 years. In 1955, he joined the United States Air Force, and served for 20 years. He and Marilyn travelled all around the world during his military career. His eldest daughter was born in Spokane, Washington, his son was born in Heidelberg, Germany, and his youngest daughter was born in Hyannis, Massachusetts. After retiring from the military in 1975, he worked at several companies, including Texscan MSI, Sun Electric and Snap On Tools. During his post-military career, he attended Salt Lake Community College where he obtained an Associate of Science Degree in Business Management. Darrel had a strong testimony of the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served as Branch President, Bishop, Ward Secretary, Gospel Doctrine Teacher, Missionary, Choir Leader, and most recently served in his Stake as IT support. Darrel is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his children, Deborah (Steven) Anderson, daughter; Darrel (Stella) Paskett, son; Deanna (Brad) Riccardi, daughter; 6 grandchildren, Elliot (Wendy) Anderson, Jesse (Jennie) Anderson, Fred Paskett, Cecile Paskett, Anthony (Danielle) Riccardi, Daniel Riccardi; and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 brothers, Milo (Georgia) Paskett, Leslie (Jeannette) Paskett, James (Brandy) Paskett, and Leon (Charlotte) Paskett; and two sisters, Genevieve (John) Evans, and Katherine (Larry) Dyer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin (Naomi) Paskett, and 2 grandchildren. A viewing will be held Friday, January 18, 2013, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
