Darren Wayment

Darren Wayment, our father, brother, and uncle passed away April 17, 2025. Darren was born

August 23, 1960, in Ogden, Utah to Grant and Arlene Wayment.

He married Dawn Williams in April 1992; later divorced - together they have two children, Chase and Colton. Darren is survived by his brothers, Kent (Sabrina), Larry (Julie), Jeff (Karen), his sister, Marilee, and stepsister, Angie.

He was preceded in death by his mother Arlene, father Grant, stepmother Mary, his sister Kari, and stepsister Cindy.

Darren grew up in Warren, Utah and graduated from Weber High School.

He then went on to work for the State of Utah, retiring after 41 years and sadly passing away less than a month later.

He definitely enjoyed his cars and trucks, maybe the gas pedal a little too much when he was younger. He loved working on them and was our family mechanic. He rebuilt a 1968 mustang with his boys when they were young.

We also can't forget about his fondness for old Westerns. He never missed a good cowboy movie, especially the classics with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood.

We want to give a special thank you to the University of Utah Hospital and Stonehenge Nursing Facility, with their care and amazing compassion, we were able to get through the last few weeks.
