David E. Valerio Beloved Father & Grandfather Our beloved David passed away at home on May 21, 2012 in his sleep. He was born July 5, 1934 in Durango, Colorado. He married Cecelia Valdez August 23, 1985. They had their daughter, Valerie who was born on Father s Day and he said she was the best gift in his life. David was in the concrete business with his brother, Don, and retired due to back problems. He was a magnificent guitar player and played up until he passed away. He served in the US Army and Marine Corps during the Korean War. He always said, Once a Marine, always a Marine . He was a very loving, kindhearted man who loved his family very much. He always had funny sayings and made us laugh. We will always love and remember him. He was my Cute Lil Daddy . He is survived by his wife, Cecelia; daughter, Valerie Valerio-Flores and son-in-law, who he loved as a son, Carlos Flores, daughter, Kelly Valerio; stepsons Mardy Valdez and Joey (Sarah) Valdez; stepdaughters, Dolores Valdez-Longoria (Roy) and Dawna Valdez. His pride and joy were his grandchildren: Elijah David and Destinee Renee; special grandsons, Michael Begay and Robert Reyes. He has 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Silviano and Eliza Romero Valerio; brothers, Stanley and Tommy Valerio; sister, Lena Hansen. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Redwood Road. Hobbies:Loved being with familyOccupation:Cement Contractor
