David James Armstrong

David J. Armstrong was loved by many and touched everyone he came into contact with. He went by many other nicknames; Pie man, Pickle Pie Dave, Mr. Dave, and Davina. Those are just some of the ways people showed their love and acceptance for him. David may have had some challenges in his life, but he faced them head on with a smile. He was quick to always drop hints of things he wanted/loved which included: chocolate cake, hamburgers, hot fudge sundae, Lionel Richie, Mr. Roper, All in the Family, bulldogs, Chewbacca, "Dark Bacon" a.k.a. Darth Vader, Josh Groban, Johnny Mathis, and dance music just to name a few. He enjoyed going to concerts with his family, going out to eat, listening to music, and singing in Primary. David's friendly personality and loving face helped him to make connections everywhere he went. He was met on the other side by his father Dalton Joe Armstrong; grandparents; his twin infant nephews; and their brother Nicholas Rutherford. He is survived by his mother Claudia Armstrong; siblings: John (Liz) Armstrong, Lance (Wendy) Armstrong, Charmel (Darren) Bolding, Chontel (Zepher) Peck, Chanel (Troy) Kiter, Enjolic Armstrong. He is also survived by many neices and nephews: Joe, Amanda, Shelby, Haylee, Chelsie, Cheyenne, Riley, Taylor, Auris, Braden, Cresten, Dallyn, Ethan, Carly, and Toby. David was recently made a great-uncle and he loved his baby Grace. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 10, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at the LDS Chapel at 750 E. Three Fountains Drive, Murray, UT 84107, where a viewing will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
