Beloved father, grandfather, brother, husband passed away September, 22, 2015. Born March 22, 1925 to David Borg and Eva Elvin. He had 8 brothers and sisters. Jack grew up in Sandy and attended South High. He served in the Navy during World War II in major battles in the Pacific as a radio operator doing Morse code. He served a mission in the Kentucky, Tennessee area. He married Donna James in 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had two children, David and Suzanne. Donna passed away in 1976. He then married Clara LeSieur in 1978 in the Jordan River Temple. She passed away in 2013. Jack retired from Granite School District. Clara and Jack served a mission to the Philippines and worked in the Jordan River Temple. He loved to fish at Silver Lake at Brighton. Jack loved his dog Molly. The family would like to thank his friends Dell Gneiting and the ward members for all of their help and kindness to Jack. Survived by son David Borg; stepdaughter Cyndy Norris and Becky Jorgensen; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by Donna James Borg; Clara LeSieur Borg; Suzanne Heath; and stepdaughter Mitzi Hood. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015, 1:00 p.m., at Heritage 10th Ward building, 7645 South 3200 West. Viewings will be held Friday, September 25, 6-8:00 p.m.at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and prior to the service, 12-12:45 p.m., Saturday at the church.
