Dave was born in Pasco, Washington to Opal and James Fred King, the youngest of 8 children. On May 25, 1974, he married Dannie Lee Slaughter. On May 25, 1976, Dave and Dannie were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple.
They had two beautiful daughters, Jamie Lee (1976) and Toni Dawn (1977). He loved spending time with his girls. He loved camping with his family. He loved old cars and his pride and joy was his 1931 Model A. He told his new wife to be that she would go before his Model A. He still has the Model A and the wife after 51 1/2 years. His Model A was just one of several cars that he owned. He also enjoyed his model trains.
Dave worked for Eastman Kodak as a service engineer for 40 years. His division was sold off to Carestream Health where he worked for another 3 years before retiring.
Dave was very proud to have served his country in the United States Army.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings. He loved his Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ very much.
He has one grandson Logan which he adores, and allows him to do whatever he wants to do. Dave did not know how to say "NO!" to his grandson.
He is survived by his wife Dannie, daughter Jamie (Jason), and grandson Logan, favorite niece Ediy, nephew Dale, and multiple nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Preceded in death by our angel Toni (1985), mother, father, brothers, and sisters. Bill, George, Les, Gene, Mary, Melbie, and Bob.
Dave, we love you very much and will miss you dearly.
