David O. Rawson 1921 ~ 2013 David O. Rawson was reunited with his beloved wife and family members on August 13, 2013. He was born in Ogden, Utah on June 30, 1921 to William John Rawson and Nancy Ett Southwick Rawson. He married Mary Carol Barker in the Salt Lake Temple on January 28, 1942. They lived in Taylorsville, Utah their entire married life. David served as a sergeant in the Army during World War II being stationed in the European front. He was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions; he had a very strong testimony of his Savior, Jesus Christ. He owned and operated his own sheet metal business well into his 80's. David was a jack of all trades and could fix or build anything. He helped many people with his skills. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents; his dear son, David and his wife, Barbara; ten brothers and sisters and their spouses. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Daniel) Davies; son, Robert; 4 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 22, 2013, 12:00 noon at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Family and friends may visit from 11-11:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
