Dawn L. Walker, 69, of Taylorsville, Utah passed away on 6 October 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dawn stayed strong and positive until the end.
She was born, 23 January 1950, to Robert Coleman and Phyllis Coleman, in Johnson City, New York. She lived in Binghamton, New York until she traveled to Germany in 1969 to live with her Army husband.
Dawn was an Army wife of Bernie’s 21 ½ career years of service and loved the military life. She loved to cook and enjoyed family time. Every time Dawn was around people, they smiled. Dawn worked as a housekeeper for property management companies. When Dawn came into contact with people, all seemed to love her. The wit and humor she had was legendary.
She was predeceased by Robert Coleman, father; Phyllis Mudge/Coleman, mother; Rhoda Coleman, sister; and Wendall Henderson, brother.
Dawn is survived by her loving husband Bernie Walker of 50 years; Kelley Walker, daughter; Renee Meredith, granddaughter, who were by her side on her final days. Additionally she left behind her sisters, Helen McPeek (John), Annie Patton (Edmund, deceased); Anthony Meredith, grandson; Philip Walker, brother-in-law; Roseann Walker, sister-in-law; Dennis Meredith, ex son- in- law, (named by Dawn as her redheaded step child); nieces, nephews, in-laws and great- grandchildren.
