Dean Rulon Mackay 10/6/1945 ~ 12/22/2011 Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Dean Rulon Mackay, was called home after completing his mission here on earth. Dean served an honorable mission and gave it everything he had. Born October 6, 1945 in Granger, Utah to Rulon Bawden and Miriam Latimer Mackay. Married Cynthia McLachlan on January 22, 1966. Later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for time and all eternity. Dean loved the outdoors and loved working on projects of any kind. He was most proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved them dearly. Dean was a friend to everyone he met, young or old. He valued and treasured every friendship he made. There are countless earthly angels who helped him find joy in his journey. Dean leaves behind his wife, Cindy; sons, Clint (Paige), Bret (Risa), Jared (Karah); daughter, Shelese (Ryan; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. We will all miss him dearly. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 27, 2011, 12:00 noon at the Briarwood Ward, 3751 South 2200 West. Viewings will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and at the Church from 11-11:45 a.m prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
