Deanetta Lynn Jenkins

Deanetta Lynn Jackson Jenkins passed away the morning of June 9, 2021, peacefully in her sleep.

Born February 19, 1968 in Artesia, NM, Deanetta spent her early years traveling the world with her parents. As a teenager, they moved to Utah, where she lived out the remainder of her life. Though her marriage to Robert Jenkins did not last, they had seven children together over a span of 21 years. Her children were always her biggest source of pride, even as her memory deteriorated, she still often talked about them. She lived out the final years of her life in Salt Lake City, Utah suffering from dementia related to several strokes. She passed quickly and painlessly due to sepsis.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Lynette Daisy Lords; grandson Derek "Skippy" Lords; parents William and Carolyn Jackson; as well as her nephew James Huntington.

Surviving her are six children, Kirstin Gardiner (Paul), Robert Jenkins, Danyelle Jenkins (Tanner), LuzAngela Neese (Joshua), Larry Jenkins and John Jenkins; as well as four grandchildren, Alexis, Sarah, Kiry and Sherry.

A viewing will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021, 5-7:00 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.
