Debra Ann Story Bauman

Debra passed away May 30, 2014 after a brave, exhausting battle with a debilitating disease. She was born April 7, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jane and Eldon Story. She had one brother, Jon.She graduated from Hillcrest High School and attended the University of Utah.While on vacation in Hawaii, she met Eugene Bauman; they were later married in Salt Lake City. They were blessed with two sons, Jeff and Andy. They later divorced.She loved nursing and worked as a registered nurse for 30 years. She loved to travel, ski and snowmobile in the mountains, four-wheeling in the desert, camping and hiking with her family. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and The Breakfast Club. She had many friends she loved and had good times with. She loved being with her family; and her granddaughter was very special to her. She married John Stricklan; they were separated. Survivors include her sons, Jeff (Michelle) and Andy (JoAnna); mother, Jane; brother, Jon; granddaughter, Oakley; nieces; nephews; and dog, Emma. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of Utah. Her wishes were to be cremated. Place of Birth:Salt Lake City, Utah
