Dee Ann Sealy Sorensen 1953 ~ 2014 Dee Ann Sorensen, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at home January 16, 2014 after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born December 31, 1953 to Denton Sealy and Marva Obray in Logan, Utah. She grew up in Clearfield, Utah, graduating from Clearfield High School. She attended Utah State University and later Weber State University where she received an associate degree in Medical Records Technology. She worked at McKay-Dee Hospital for several years and most recently at 3M Company as a Medical Information Systems Programmer. She married Lee Sorensen and they were blessed with a son, Troy, who was her pride and joy in life. Dee Ann had an outgoing personality, made friends very easily and had the gift to make others laugh. She always had concern for others and reached out in their time of need. She loved to spend time with her husband, son, family and friends. Dee Ann had a strong faith and was a member of the LDS Church. She is survived by husband Lee; son Troy; mother Marva; sister Kayleen (Dave) Davenport; brother Curtis (Julie) Sealy; mother and father-in-law Al and Afton Sorensen. Preceded in death by father Denton; and infant brother Gregory Sealy. The family would like to thank doctors Ward and Thielking, Rosie Conder PA, Lisa Gauchay LCSW, nurse Marsha and the staff at Huntsman Cancer Institute and Superior Hospice for their superb, professional and genuine kindness. Finally, the family wishes to thank Bishop Ryan Morgenegg as well as Dee Ann's friends and neighbors for their loving prayers, heartfelt encouragement and meals provided. A precious soul has left our presence and Dee Ann will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A viewing will be held Friday, January 24, 2014, 6-8 p.m. at the Park Pointe Ward, 8539 South 2200 West, West Jordan, UT. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014, 12:00 noon at the Paradise Ward, 155 East 9400 South, Paradise, Utah with a viewing 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
