Della Gibson Newman

Della G. Newman, age 83, passed away at home in Centerville, Utah on December 13, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. 

She was born March 31, 1935 in Burley, Idaho to Edgar Clarence and Nettie Louella Gibson. She married Ronald Dietrich January 27, 1951 in Pocatello, Idaho.  They had seven children: Deborah Buhler, Katherine Delong, Michael (Kris) Dietrich, Steven Dietrich – deceased, Rhonda Dossett, Laurie Lund, and Darwin Dietrich – deceased.  Della and Ron later divorced.  Della married Lester R. Newman August of 1989.

She is survived by five children; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and 2 sisters, Marie and Klarene.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lester; sons, Steven and Darwin; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. -12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, 12:30 p.m. following the viewing at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South in West Valley City.
