Denice Marie Willden, a loving mother, devoted friend, and cherished community member tragically passed away on September 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
Born on December 21, 1989, in West Jordan, Denice grew up in Utah, where she cultivated a deep connection with her community and the great outdoors. Her passion for fishing and adventure reflected her fearless and vibrant spirit.
As a devoted mother to Mallori and Axel, Denice's love for her children knew no bounds. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her children, life partner Greg Strickland, mother Brenda Willden, father Gary Willden, brother Travis (Jamie) Keenan, sister Amie Carley, and many other family members. She is preceded in death her brothers Jeff and Kasey Keenan, and grandmother Carole Watson.
Denice's impact extended far beyond her family. At SilencerCo, she was a respected and beloved colleague, admired for her kindness, work ethic, playful demeanor, and infectious smile. Her ability to make time for others, listen, and offer support earned her countless friendships.
Her beautiful spirit, inside and out, touched everyone she met. Denice's acceptance, empathy, and generosity inspired those around her to be their authentic selves. Her love for life was contagious, and her adventures will be deeply missed.
As we mourn the loss of this remarkable woman, we take comfort in the memories of her bright smile, her unwavering love, and the countless lives she touched. Denice may be gone, but her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew her.
Rest in peace, Denice. Your love and light will never fade.
Viewing will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
A luncheon will be provided at Murray Park Pavilion #4 after services conclude: 406 E. Vine Street, Murray, Utah.
