Devan Jay McBride

On Thanksgiving Day our precious son and brother stepped from this life into eternity. What a fitting day to express our gratitude for the privilege and blessing of spending the last 26 years with one of God's special children. Devan had a peaceful, loving, valiant spirit trapped in a body of such limited ability. He is now set free to soar among the stars. His enormous heart and his capacity to love overshadowed his small, frail body. Until we can be with him again, we will miss his tender smile, the love in his eyes, and his unforgettable hugs. Devan is survived by his father, Martin Jay McBride, his mother, Patricia Ann Shumway McBride, his brother, Dustin Gene (Noel) McBride, and many others in his extended family. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at the Whitewood Ward, 3555 West 5620 South, where a viewing will be held prior to services from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
