On August 23, 2023, Dianne Ruth Kellermeyer returned to the loving arms of her family members on the other side of the veil.
In her last two years of life, Dianne battled breast cancer and other health issues, supported her son and his family through their legal battle against her husband, became locked in divorce proceedings against the aforementioned husband, and, in June, returned to California to bury her mother. Dianne truly endured to the end, and her rest and return home are well earned.
Dianne was an incredibly accomplished woman: After losing her hearing at a young age, she was empowered by her mother to access speech therapy and learn to navigate the hearing world. Dianne was linguistically skilled and grew up with a voracious appetite for reading. Those who knew her will recall her always having a book (or two) in her purse.
She was a great lover of art and music, especially musical theater.
She was employed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for over 30 years in many different departments. Dianne spent a majority of her employment as an administrative assistant to elders in the First and Second Quorums of the Seventy. She took great pride in her service to her Lord and her work for the brethren, and had so much love for her church and community.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, Robert Allen Ruth and Marjorie Taylor Ruth, as well as her two sisters, Mindy Ruth and Teresa Menjou.
Dianne leaves behind two children, Katharine Kellermeyer and Erich Kellermeyer, as well as a grandson, Damien Kellermeyer, and a brother, Paul Ruth.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 31 at McDougal Funeral Home (4330 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT, 84123). There will be a public viewing from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m., Funeral services at 1:30 p.m., and an Interment at West Jordan City Cemetery to follow.
