Dolores Haymond Milne

Dolores Haymond Milne, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Saturday, November 24, 2018 in West Jordan , Utah at the age of 89, surrounded by her family. Dolores was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Walter and Gladys Haymond. She married Jack Walker Milne in 1948 in California. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Dolores is survived by son, Chris (Corky) Milne of St. Louis, MO; daughters Kathy Cline of West Jordan, UT and Karen (Craig) Graham of Taylorsville, UT. She has 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and son Creig Walker Milne, as well as with two great-grandchildren, Blakely Merrill and Paisley Noelle Nickle.

Dolores graduated from West High School. She spent most of her career as a photographer at Auerbach’s Department Store. She then went to work for ZCMI where she managed the photography studio. When the studio closed, she went to work in the Fine Jewelry Department until she retired in 1984.

Some of her hobbies included dancing, bowling, golfing, and shopping. Most of all, she loved traveling cross country with her husband Jack. Dolores volunteered at IMC Hospital for the Spirit of Caring - No One Dies Alone program.

Our mother was a beautiful lady who loved to dress in fashion, have her hair done, her nails painted and had a great love for high heeled shoes. She loved cats and enjoyed BBQ’s and family gatherings. Dolores loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Although you are no longer with us, you will always be in our hearts. We love you mom!

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018, 2:30 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewing will be held prior to services from 1:30-2:15 p.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive.
