Don Andrew Andersen

Don Andrew Andersen passed away peacefully in his home in the care of his son, on February 21, 2016. He was born December 7, 1928 to Andrew Andersen and Irene Brems in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Elverda May Slaven and they were lifelong companions for 59 years until her death in 2015. Don served in the army where he was stationed in Korea and Japan. He worked as a correctional officer for 21 years and retired as a corporal officer for Salt Lake County Sheriff. He enjoyed raising and racing horses. He enjoyed reading and learning western history. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lorraine; his beloved wife, Elverda; and his daughter, Christine. He is survived by his children, Don Andersen Jr., Cindy (Kurt) Ackerman; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Place of Birth:Salt Lake City, UtahPlace of Death:West Valley City, Utah
