Don Larson was born October 27, 1925 in Ephraim, Utah. His parents were Niels Soren Larson and Mary Adrienne Thorpe. He grew up in Sugar House until he was drafted in the Navy at age 18. After serving 2 years during World War II, he was called to serve an LDS Mission in Eastern Canada. After his mission he met and married Carmen Rayola Cram who has been his devoted wife for 67 years. Don was very creative. He built a Christmas village in his home that took up half the living room; he could make anything come to life, which he shared with many who came from miles around to see it. He also made props and decorations for wedding receptions. He loved to share his talents with everyone. Don & Rayola served several LDS missions together in Samoa, New Zealand, England, Chicago and several years in the Inner City Mission in Salt Lake City. Don loved teaching, especially the Book of Mormon. He was the author of two study guides and several religious pamphlets which he loved to share. He is survived by his wife, Rayola; six children: Randy (Kimberly), Turia, Todd (Beverley), Tania (Wes), Mereana, Derek (Aubri); 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister, Bonnie Stam (Pete); sister-in-law, Verna (Ken); and many nieces and nephews.
