Don Dolph Sanderson, age 89, passed away peacefully June 27, 2017, at his home. Don was born March 26, 1928, in Gunnison, Utah, where he was raised. He served in the U.S. Navy at the end of WWII. On June 22, 1950, he married the love of his life, Mable Olsen. They raised four children in Hunter, Utah, where he lived until his passing. Don loved hunting, fishing, boating, and was especially devoted to his family. He was a master craftsman; when he built something, you knew it would last. Survivors include his wife; sons, Neil (Kathi), Robert (Laurie), and Doug (Susie); daughter, Carol (Don) Dabb; 13 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bud; sisters, Ina and Karma; and grandson Tyler J. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 3, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Rd, in Taylorsville. Viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 2, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday prior to services, both at the funeral home.
