Dona Jean Carroll Peterson

DONA JEAN PETERSON 1929 ~ 2011 Dona Jean Carroll Peterson passed away peacefully Friday morning, November 4th, 2011 at her son s home, surrounded by her loving family. Dona returned home to her Heavenly Father after many years of declining health. She was born August 11, 1929 in Orem, Utah to Lamont and Theresa Carroll. Dona spent her childhood in beautiful Midway, Utah. She graduated from Wasatch High School. She married Clifford Peterson on September 17, 1949 in Orem, Utah. They made their home in Granger, Utah, where they raised their three sons. She was an active member of the LDS Granger 6th Ward for over 50 years. She is survived by her sons: Alan (Julie), Scott, Steven (Karen); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Jerry (Marilyn). She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; parents; and brother, Lonnie. The family would like to thank the Heartwood Hospice Staff for the loving care and help they gave their mother. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9th, 10:00 a.m. at the Country Crossing 1st Ward, 11173 South Copper Point Way (3200 West). Viewings will be held Tuesday, November 8th, 6 - 8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Wednesday at the church, 9 - 9:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
