Donald Burton Roholt of Taylorsville, Utah passed away peacefully in his sleep and joined his loving wife on June 18th, 2023.
He was born in Brigham City, Utah on September 30, 1940, to James Christian Roholt and Agnes Burton.
He was the third of five children. The first of his siblings to be born in a hospital. He was raised in Salt Lake where as a child he loved to sneak into the Bee's baseball games, the knot hole club. Donald enlisted in the army at the young age of 18 where he served in Munich Germany. He drove tanks and heavy equipment.
Shortly after his discharge he met the love of his life Barbara Kay at a Christmas party. They were married for 55 years.
Donald was a wonderful family man and an accomplished Master Electrician.
Donald enjoyed the outdoors; shooting, fishing, golf and playing pool were some of his favorite activities. He was very competitive and taught us all the love of learning.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his children Jeffrey, Kari, Taunia (Charles), Gary (Melissa), and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place Friday, June 23 at 11 am at Taylorsville 19th Ward, 2030 West Chateau Avenue, Taylorsville, Utah with visitation from 10:00 - 10:45 am prior to the service. Friends and family may visit the evening of Thursday, June 22 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
