Donna Fay Weekes 1934 ~ 2012 Donna Fay Dennis Weekes, our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father early Tuesday morning, September 11, 2012 surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer that she fought with humor and uplifted everyone around her. Born January 25, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donovan Bradbury and Alta Fay Day Dennis. Married Ray Sidney Weekes October 12, 1956 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they had four children: Linda (Garth) Wilkey, Pam (Markal) Merrell; Dennis (Denine) Weekes and Stephanie (Thomas) Gwyther; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the Lord and the gospel as she served faithfully in many callings including Relief Society president and worker in the Jordan River Temple. Member of the DUP. Mom was very artistic and creative with a flair in drama, performing in and directing many road shows and plays. She was the best witch with the best cackle ever. Preceded in death by son, Dennis; grandson, Joseph; parents; and brother, Scott. Special thanks to the volunteers and staff at Huntsman Cancer Institute, IHC Hospice, especially Jaime Hansen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the Academy Park Ward, 4605 West Westpoint Dr. (4600 S.). Viewings will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
