On October 14, 2014 the world lost a beautiful, intelligent, loving and eternally stubborn angel as DonaRae Liddle Bennett made the transition to her next heavenly step. She was 39 years young (again and again and again, the first of three generation of perpetual 39 year olds). DonaRae was born to Arthur and Marjorie Solomon Liddle September 11, 1928 in Salt Lake City, UT. She married Henrie Otto Robinson November 21, 1948 in Evanston, WY; later divorced. She then married the love of her life, Max Howard Bennett, January 1, 1972 at her home in Kearns; later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Mom moved to Kearns in January 1954 and lived in the same home for almost 60 years. She had a strong testimony of her Savior and was proud of the fact each of her children has gone through the temple and sealed to their spouses. She loved going to the temple and made it a habit of going twice a week for many years, aside from the last few months, rarely missing an opportunity to go. She combined her love of travel, attending the temple and doing temple work in 34 different temples. Mom did love to travel. She went on a 12 day camping trip to the Pacific Northwest six months before she became bedridden. She had traveled to 49 states and was anxiously waiting for someone to build a train (she disliked flying or traveling on water) that went to Hawaii so she could lay claim to having visited all 50 states. DonaRae had a love of learning and reading. She worked for the Salt lake County Library System for 32 years and developed many friendships while working there. She also had a fascination with things medical and had a not-so-secret longing to have been a surgeon's assistant. Mom is survived by, and very much missed by, her children: Bruce (Lynn) Robinson, Janine (Ellsworth) Moon, Brian (Samantha) Bennett, Shannon (Brian) Lytle; her step-daughter Karen (Ron) Ketterer; sisters Sharon (Quinn) Spencer and Linda (Ross) Farrer; and 2 furry children, Nubbin and Billy. To count grandchildren and great-grandchildren would be like trying to count the falling grains of sand in a sand clock. And each and every one was her favorite! She is preceded in death by daughters, Gayle Ann Winward and Claudia Mills; son-in-law, Gaylon Winward; sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie (Lynn) Howarth; brother-in-law, Richard Mears; stepson, Michael Bennett; both husbands; and her parents. What a joyful reunion taking place. Thanks to Nelda and Ruth for their regular visits with Mom. Your devoted friendship meant a lot to her. Also a special thanks to Summit Hospice, especially Mary and Andrea, for the loving care provided this past year and a half. Mom loved you and very much appreciated the special care given her. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Kearns 16th Ward, 4731 South 4300 West where viewings will be held Friday, October 17, 2014, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. Mom would rather arrive at an event two hours early than be five minutes late, so she has assured us she will not be late for her own funeral! Nickname:"Mom"
