Dorine Ella Hancock Harrison Hurst

Dorine Ella Hancock Harrison Hurst was born August 20, 1929 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada to Alma E. and Mary Ella Hancock. She married Floyd A. Harrison in 1947. Together they had 3 children: Dennis Floyd (Ruth Ann), Karren Dorine and Shelley Gay (Brian Tomsic). They spent their early years in So. Alberta and the family moved to Utah in 1956. They divorced in 1979, but remained loving friends. In 1982, Dorine married Vernon J. Hurst. Together their posterity numbers well over 150. She retired from Utah State Family Services in 1990. She loved to travel but her greatest joy was time spent with family. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving faithfully all of her life, including serving as a senior couple missionary. On Oct. 22, 2017, surrounded by family, Dorine left this life. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held in her honor on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, 11:00 a.m. in the Taylorsville 19th Ward, 2030 W. Chateau Ave. (5225 So.), Taylorsville, UT, where a viewing will precede the services from 9-10:30 a.m. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
