Doris Ann Frey

Doris Ann Sorensen Frey, passed away peacefully in her home in South Jordan due to complications related to stroke on August 29, 2016. She was born in Ogden, Utah on January, 15, 1936, to Elsie Payne Sorensen and Walter Nephi Sorensen. She married Gordon Meerle Frey on July 7, 1956. They enjoyed camping, skiing, hiking, golfing and traveling together. They spent most free time with their daughter Julie and her husband Dyke along with their three grandchildren. Following Gordon's passing, Doris enjoyed spending time with her friends at the West Jordan Senior Center playing cards. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; her brother Walter (Bud); and her parents. She is survived by her sister Evelyn; sister-in-law Clara; daughter Julie and her husband Dyke; grandsons Brett (Aurielle), and Tanner (Julianne); granddaughter Christine; great-grandchildren Clementine and Jude; and eagerly awaited twin grand babies Deklan and Kenci due in November. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church at 976 33rd Street in Ogden. Viewings will be held Friday, September 2, 6-8:00 p.m. at the LDS Church located at 4000 West 7875 South, West Jordan, and again prior to services on Saturday at the church in Ogden from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah.
