Doris Francis Martin Geer

Doris Francis Martin Geer, 87, Sandy, Utah, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 9, 2015. She was born May 22, 1927 to Wilbert James Martin and Elsie May Parker in Ocean Township, New Jersey. She married William "Bill" Callaway Geer on April 8, 1949. She is survived by her children: Michael, Charlotte (Dan) Lindstrom, Barbara (Richard) Hayhurst, Grant (Angie), and Bryan (Paula); her grandchildren: Jenny Geer, Nic (Tabitha) Geer, Tyler Lindstrom, Adam Lindstrom, Lisa Sixel, Amber (Brian) Bohne, Clinton Geer, Katie (Adam) Garvey, Stephen (Myra) Hayhurst, Danny (Rebecca) Hayhurst, and Kim (Sid) Sticer, Nathan Geer, Macaila Geer, Alexa Geer, Mackenzie Geer; as well as 16 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bill and son William Edward (Billy). Doris was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority since 1967, serving in many positions and in multiple chapters. She is currently in the Lambda Master chapter. She served as a pink lady volunteer at the Pioneer Valley Hospital for many years. She had a kind word to say about everyone. Mom, you are loved and missed! Friends and family are invited to gather at 1 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at McDougal Funeral Home (4330 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville).
