Doris Eve Cummings Larson

1932 -2024

Our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend, returned to her Heavenly Father and Savior on Jan 27, 2024

Mom was the 2nd of 4 daughters born to William Chester and Aileen Beatrice Linton Cummings in Salt Lake City UT. She was taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ by her Beloved Grandmother, Eva Winberg Creigh. She was always faithful to her Savior where she felt safe and loved.

She fell in love with her eternal sweetheart, David Larson at a dance. They were married just 2 months later and danced their way through life. They served many years together as Stake Dance Directors where they loved and taught the youth the joy of dancing.

They served a full time mission to the People of Tonga. Serving in the Liahona High School where, along with their other work, taught the youth to dance. They served in the Jordan River Temple as Ordinance workers and in the Bishops Storehouse as service missionaries.

Mom was everyone's best friend. She made everyone feel important and instantly loved. She included everyone and couldn't stand to see anyone left out. She was a counselor to everyone and knew how to listen and love. She loved a good prank and had an amazing sense of humor. She jumped into any water fight that was started around her. Together, Mom and Dad were members of the Good Sam Club, and had many wonderful friends.

They were blessed with 5 children.

She is survived by Julie and Morris Johnson, Beckie and Arlin Allred, Jeff and DeNiece Larson, Leslie and Jeff Christiansen, and Sharon and Jon Bies. She has 23 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sister Bonnie Thomas and her half-sister Sherry Kinsey.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband David Grant Larson, and sisters Edith Bemis and Margie Ball. We will all miss her smile and joy as she lived through the pains of life without complaint. She lived to an impressive 91 wonderful years. Now reunited with loved ones on the other side! God be with you 'til we meet again!
