Douglas James Halvorsen

Douglas James Halvorsen Jim Douglas James Halvorsen was born May 26, 1969 and passed away peacefully August 19, 2012. His laugh, creativity, imagination and tall tales will be missed by all. Jim loved the outdoors, history, westerns, Kenpo Karate and his family. He is preceded in death by his father C. Kent Halvorsen, and survived by his mother Sue Halvorsen; grandmother, Lavon Bonnie Curlis; brothers, Scott (Jodie) and Paul Halvorsen; a niece, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial services, in remembrance of Jim s life, will be held Friday, August 24, 2012, 3-7 p.m. at the home of Scott and Jodie Halvorsen, 2827 East Durban Road (9355 S.). Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312, or the Professional Firefighters of Utah (PFFU), PO Box 6267, Ogden, UT 84402 with a special thanks to Sandy City Fire Department.
