Douglas Morris

Douglas Eugene Morris passed from life to join his beloved wife on December 20, 2022.

Doug lived a full life from his beginnings in Bingham Canyon where he made the town proud displaying remarkable vitality, zest, and talent which he carried throughout his life.

He cherished the time he served others as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ontario, Canada and as Bishop of the Union 6th Ward.

He graduated with both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Utah and had a long career in pharmacy beginning in 1955 until 2008. He was enormously proud of Heinz Apothecary Pharmacies, starting with his anchor store on 508 East South Temple and extending to his other pharmacies around the valley.

He attracted many friends in the Church and professionally, but he valued his family most. We will miss his enthusiasm for life, optimism, drive, generosity, work ethic, and determination, which he passed to the next generation through his example.

He is survived by his sons, Stephen (Marie), David (Wendy), his daughter, Ann Casaday (Kelly), 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Doug is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn and his daughter, Karen Dunyon (Marcus).

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah with a viewing 11:00-11:45 a.m prior to services. Interment will be at Taylorville Cemetery, 4567 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
