Edgar L. Todd Dutch 1917 2014 Edgar Todd died on January 8, 2014 from complications of old age and a broken hip. We will miss his gentle, loving spirit and quiet wit. Edgar was born on March 15, 1917 in Granger, Utah, the youngest of six children. His father passed away when Edgar was only one year old, and he looked forward to meeting him on the other side. On August 24,1940, he married his love, Cecelia Fuegi. They had two daughters, Dian and Ilene and ten grandchildren who grew up next door. Edgar was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He supervised the building of a chapel during his mission in Cardiff, Wales, went on a proselyting mission with his dear wife, Cecelia, worked at the Jordan River Temple, served in bishoprics and a stake presidency, as well as being a stake patriarch for nearly twenty years. Over a long career as a general contractor, he built and remodeled homes, enabling many young couples to afford one. He looked at that as one of his proudest accomplishments. He loved to travel with friends and family. He toured Europe during his missionary years, went on cruises with close friends, drove through the United States and Canada, and loved being an American, which he celebrated each 4th of July with huge family parties. He is preceded in death by all his siblings (Charles, Stan, Lettie, Fred and Barney), his wife ,Cecelia, and his eldest daughter, Dian. He is survived by his daughter Ilene, ten grandchildren (Todd, Paul, Suzette, Jennifer, Harold, Jenny, Sam, Sarah, Anna and Rachel), and 30 great grandchildren. As Todd said of him, He did it right. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity. We especially want to thank Garden Terrace and Brighton Hospice for their kind care the last few months. Friends and family may visit at his viewing on Wednesday, January 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2014 in the LDS chapel at 3751 South 2200 West. The viewing will be from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. with the funeral starting at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park.
